June 2009 - Shall we dress up for the event?

Post  Cudgel on Sun May 31, 2009 10:36 am

We need for more lulz. We should have a theme for the June raid. Prizes will be awarded for costuming and new original signage.

I'm the one vote for June 20th. I can't make the 13th, but for a similar reason to missing a few in a row, so don't let that stop you.

I know some cities are doing a SeaArgggg pt 2 of sorts, so maybe something along those lines? That is, if people don't mind a bit of theme-recycling.

I could make the 20th or the 27th, nothing before the 20th though, I'll be in Germany.

A pirate with a crutch if one is needed.

No excuses.

Poll Results so far...

Post  Cudgel on Tue Jun 02, 2009 4:59 pm

I see that the poll esults are neck and neck between the 13th and the 20th, with the 13th ahead by one vote. IF you have't made a selection please do so. I have extended the poll an extra two days to make certain all voices are heard. I've also created a music section - requests anyone?

This is a HUGE 911 on the prospective date of the 20th. Might be a good day to inform CROWDS but a very bad day to protest and find a place to park. Seems there is a Reds game that day however in the stadium prior to the game there is some civil rights event that is so huge bill Clinton is going to speak. I got the word today from somebody who is going to a wedding at the Bengal's stadium that is scheduled the same day and all those attending were cautioned that parking is going to be a nightmare and to arrange different ways to come (taxi's, drop offs ect).

1. Park away from downtown and take the bus or walk?

2. One of us could pick up people and do a drop a block from the raid with the signs, etc. then go park and come back. Leave the raid early and do the same in reverse to get other back to their respective transport.

Sunday the 14th would make my life a bit happier (street fair in Yellow Springs - last year I enturbulated thre scilons from COlumbus by taking their pictures. This year if I get to go I'm taking a raid kit along in the car. You know, beard, signs, flyers...)

I might be able to make the 14th. Nothing on the calendar.
